Mrs. Kenter and Family:
You have my deepest sympathy. I knew Dr. Kenter as my physician and as an Advisory Board member when I returned to Boughton Street 5 years ago. Dr. Kenter was passionate about keeping Boughton Street open and available to his community. I enjoyed working with him over the past 5 years and will miss his thoughts and ideas on how we can keep on improving. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I met Dr. Kenter when I was hired by the Y to operate the Boughton Street YMCA in 2004. He served on the Advisory Board with enthusiasm, always having the communities best interest in mind. Over the past year we swam together at the Greenknoll Y where he often talked about his family. I will miss his friendship.

My sincere sympathy is with your family. I sat on several Board of Director meetings with Dr. Kenter and he was a very intent listener. He made it apparent that he was very dedicated to the Boughton Street YMCA and what it had to offer the community. I am grateful for his part in allowing the Y to continue its mission for the community. He was a true advocate and a great friend to many. He will be missed.

All my sympathy to Docs family. Doc and I spent a lot of time, in Boughton St. Y, trying to settle problems of The Y and the problems of the world. I was always struch by Docs intellect, and ability to understand problems. I served several years with Doc on the Y advisory board. He was a great guy and I will miss him.

I knew Ali (or "Doc" as we called him) through the Boughton Street Y, and served there on the Advisory Committee with him. He was the longest-serving member of the Boughton Street Advisory Committee and had also been an enthusiastic member of the Mayor's Boughton Street Task Force, formed at the time the Regional Board reversed the decision to close the Boughton Street branch. I would often see him in the mornings on the treadmill, and he would greet most of the people in the room by name. He was a great supporter of the Y and always seemed to enjoy his time there. He was a lovely, kind, gentle man and will be missed by so many. Please accept my sincere condolences.

My condolences to his entire family. I have been a member of the "Y" for almost 15 years.Dr. Kenter was warm, friendly and personable to me since the very first day and everyday since. We served on the Board together for a number of years and his love of the "Y" was both obvious and motivational. Trust that in the future when I want to refer to a courteous, repectful and highly respected gentleman I will utter Dr. Kenter's name. I will miss him.

I have known Dr. Kenter since joining him on the board of directors at the Boughton Street YMCA in 2004. All I can say is, What a wonderful person, and what a terrible loss to everyone who has known him. I am glad that he had a happy and healthy 84 years, but I am disappointed for him, his family and myself that he won't be around until he's 90 or 95 (which was what I always assumed). I consider myself fortunate to have known him.

Grazina and family,
Sorry to hear of the loss of your husband and father. Besides being a great doctor (we really missed him when he retired), he was a wonderful person. I can still remember the conversations lighting up when fishing was mentioned.
He will be in our prayers, and our memories.

I am so saddened to learn of Dr. Kenter's passing. He was one of the specialists called in to treat me after a terrible car accident on 12/26/66. He treated my mom, me and my daughter while we lived in CT. To this day, sinus specialists marvel at the wonderful job he did with my facial reconstructive surgery in 1966. I am eternally greatful to this wonderful doctor who took such good care of 3 generations of my family. Peace, love and blessings to you. In deepest sympathy, Debbie Daniello Taylor

I remember Dr. Kenter as a very little girl when I went to him with my mother. She had an ear problem and I stayed in the room as he took care of it. She was very fond of him and we always went there with any problems. I was just thinking of him in his round building on rye.7 the other day. It is amazing how memories stay, even the most brief. My sympathies to the family. My Dad owned Martin's Men's clothing store on Main St. For over 50 years. Dr. Kenter will always be a fond memory for me.
