Obituary of Helena Coelho

Helena (Luis) Coelho, 61, of Danbury, cherished wife of Manuel Coelho, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, January 8, 2024. She was born in Ferreiros do Dao, Portugal on September 6, 1962. She was the daughter of the late Antonio and Leonor (Mendes) Luis.

In addition to her beloved husband of 41 years, she will be missed by her children, Shawn Coelho (Leticia), Tyler Coelho (Rachel), and Sydney Gaspar (Jack); her grandchildren, Matteo and Luca Coelho, Victoria Andrade; and her brother, Fernando Luis. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visiting hours with be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury on Monday, January 15th between the hours of 5:00pm – 7:00pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 16th at 10:30am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 12 Cottage St, Danbury. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Helena’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
