I just learned of Jim's passing today. Jim LiVolsi was one of the finest men that I have ever known. He was a fantastic Scout leader, a trusted neighbor, and he had a decent hook shot! I was fortunate to grow up in Jim's neighborhood, and the LiVolsi house was always the favorite gathering place for all of the local boys. Jim and Carol set the tone for all of us - a loving and caring set of parents who raised an absolutely stellar family of eight children. Jim is now home with Greg and Patricia, and will serve as a beacon for the Livolsi family. Bravo Jim, for a life well lived.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of Samuel. It’s so hard to lose someone we love, but the seeming finality of death is what makes it especially difficult. Job 14:14,15 gives us confidence that God yearns to bring back to life the dead who are preserved in his memory. The Bible gives us a wonderful hope of living in a paradise on earth and seeing the resurrection of our dead loved ones. (John 5:28,29) Jesus said at Luke 23:43, “Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in paradise.” May this bring you some comfort during this very difficult time.
