We were in Danbury High School at the same time. I graduated in '68, he in '69 in my sister Susan's class. I will remember Rodney's wisdom, empathy, generosity and insight into the motives of people around him. He was always helpful, resourceful and lovable. A truly good friend. He was like a son to my mom, and father. To us he was family. He will live in our memory forever.

I worked with Rodney at the AIDS Project Greater Danbury. It was my first job in the social services field and he took me under his wing and gave me so much advice I will always carry with me. Rodney was so kind, hilarious, the best kind of sarcastic, intelligent, charismatic and a character. Rodney is truly unforgettable and as cliche as it is, we are all better for knowing him. When you were Rodney's friend you were in for great love and lots of laughter. I'll miss him so much.

Dear Family and Friends of Rodney,
I never met Rodney but I just wanted to share that stories of his exuberance, good will, kindness, and generosity reached me all the way across the country. Such a wonderful and unusual person!
Please accept my sincere condolences. May the long-time sun shine upon him...
