Obituary of Kyle Matthew Sturges
Kyle Matthew Sturges, age 29, passed away unexpectedly on December 13, 2017 at his residence in Brookfield, CT. Formerly of Danbury CT, Kyle was born to Mark Sturges and Dawn Sturges (nee Potenziani) on May 8th, 1988 at Danbury Hospital.
Kyle was an intelligent, talented, and charming young man. He was particularly fond of drawing and creative writing. Before his 2007 graduation from the Alternative Center for Education in Danbury his passion for writing flourished and his poem "Amish Businessman" earned him a first place award in a regional poetry and short story competition.
Despite his sensitive and deeply philosophical nature, Kyle's sharp wit and dry humor filled the room with laughter on many occasions. He loved to laugh and to make people laugh along with him.
Kyle is survived by his mother, Dawn Sturges of Danbury CT, his father, Mark Sturges and step-mother, Tina Archiere of Naugatuck CT, his maternal grandparents, Nicholas and Elaine Potenziani of Newtown CT, his younger brother, Kevin Sturges of Danbury CT, his elder sister, Kelly DiDomenick (nee Robinson) of Troy NY, and his younger sister, Kayla Sturges, whom he adored, of Troy NY. He is also survived by his aunt, Gina Funicello and cousins Emily and Sophia Bertowski, of Bethlehem CT as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kyle was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Sturges, formerly of Danbury CT.
A private memorial service will be held, there are no public services.
