Obituary of Sharon Girardey Kahrs

Sharon Girardey Kahrs June 30, 1953 - February 18, 2005 Sharon Girardey Kahrs, 51, of Valley View Road, Kent, died at New Milford Hospital on Friday, February 18th. She was born in Danbury on June 30, 1953, daughter of Lucille (Phelps) Girardey of Brookfield. Mrs. Kahrs worked as a Speech Pathologist for Region #1 Litchfield, at Sharon Center School for fifteen years. She was a dedicated mother who was very involved in her children's activities. She also enjoyed needlework and other crafts. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Kent. In addition to her mother, Lucille Girardey of Brookfield, she will be sadly missed by her cherished daughters, Shay and Alyssa Kahrs; her sister, Carol Girardey; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Friends are welcome to attend the Funeral Service at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Sunday, February 20th at 3:00pm with Rev. Melinda Keck of the First Congregational Church officiating. Cremation and interment will take place at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Brookfield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
