Harriet G. Hunter February 06, 1929 - August 27, 2007 Harriet G. (Hunt) Hunter, 78, of Bronxville, New York, wife of the late Christopher Hunter, died peacefully at St. John Hospital in Yonkers on Monday, August 27th. She was born in New York, NY on February 6, 1929, daughter of the late Harold and Jane (McDonald) Hunt. Mrs. Hunter retired as an executive of AT&T after fifty years of employment. She was a member of the Pioneer Club of AT&T. She was a parishioner of St. Francis Church in Delray Beach, Florida, and was a member of their Friendship Club. She enjoyed collecting shells. She was the matriarch of the family who was affectionately known as "Auntie Mame" by her beloved nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her two nephews, Richard Wooley and his wife, Mardene of Wisconsin, and Kenneth Wooley and his wife, Carmen of New York; her two nieces, Jeanne Marie Effrece and her husband, Frank of Brookfield, and Barbara Weaver of Texas. She is also survived by several great nieces and great nephews. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church in Brookfield on Saturday, September 1st at 9:00am. Burial will follow in Alder Brook Cemetery, Guilford. The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield on Friday, August 31st between the hours of 4:00 and 8:00pm.
