Obituary of Bengt Olle Hoglund

Bengt Olle Hoglund October 11, 1935 - December 15, 2008 Bengt Olle Hoglund, age 73 of Brookfield, formerly of Ridgefield, died at home on December 15, 2008. He was the devoted husband of Martha Harkonen Hoglund. Mr. Hoglund was born on October 11, 1935 in Narpes, Finland. He was the son of the late Jenfrid and Elna Sjoblad Hoglund. At the age of 15 he immigrated to the United States. He was a self employed carpenter and builder. Mr. Hoglund was a member of the Manhem Club and the Scandinavian Club. In addition to his wife of 27 years, he is survived by his sons: Glenn Akerman of Brookfield, Marc Akerman of White Lake, NY; a brother, Sture Seablade,and his wife Betty and his niece Stacey of Wallkill, NY; a grandson, Erik Akerman and several relatives in the USA and Finland. He was predeceased by a son, Roger Akerman. Funeral Information A prayer service will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 7:30pm at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield with Pastor Mark Nordskog officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 until the time of the service at 7:30. Cremation will be at the direction of the family.
