Obituary of W. Clark Harrington

W. Clark Harrington June 28, 1905 - May 18, 2007 W. Clark Harrington age 101 died peacefully at his home on May 18th, 2007 Formerly of Brookfield Center, Clark made his current home at The Village at Brookfield Commons. He was the devoted husband of the late Seranoosh"Amber" Roobenian who died in 1980. Clark was born June 28,1905 in Wooster Ma. son of the late John S. and Mable Murdock Clark Harrington. He graduated from Dartmouth Univ., class of 1928. Clark was a composer for Columbia Broadcasting System from 1930 to 1959. A very active member of the Brookfield Community, he served as Sexton of Laurel Hill Cemetery for 18 years and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Brookfield Library and the Historical Society. He was a member of the Brookfield Senior Center and enjoyed playing Bridge. For many years Clark and his Wife Amber operated the Amber Roobenian Antique Center in Brookfield Mr. Harrington is survived by his loving grandchildren: Jennie Harris, of Los Angles Ca.; David Harris, of Hollis NH; and Annie Carlson, of Purcelleville, VA. And his great grandson, Henry W.Carlson of Purcelleville. He was predeceased by his daughter Amber Harris. Funeral Information There are no formal Funeral Services. Cremation with burial will take place in Laurel Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Brookfield Chapter of American Red Cross or the Brookfield Library. The Brookfield Funeral Home 786 Federal Rd. Brookfield is in charge of the arrangements.
