Obituary of Diane Green

Diane Green November 10, 1946 - October 03, 2007 Diane (Petelenz) Green, 60, of Jenny Lane Two, Oxford, wife of the late Peter Green, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 3rd. She was born in Astoria, New York on November 10, 1946, daughter of the late Frederick O. and Rosemarie P. (O'Grady) Petelenz. . Diane grew up in Hyde Park, NY and attended Herricks High School. She lived in Danbury from 1974 until 2001 when she moved to Oxford. She worked as a flight attendant/Flight Attendant Supervisor and Instructor for Overseas National Airways from 1969 until 1978. In 1997 Diane graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a B.S in Elementary Education and English. She began teaching the 5th grade at Great Plain Elementary School in Danbury in 1999. She will be sadly missed by her two sons, Gregory William Green, and Todd Michael Green; her brother, Richard Petelenz (Angela) of Henderson, NY; her sister, Kathleen P. Ortiz of Jupiter, FL; her stepmother, Helene Petelenz of Orlando, Fl; her stepbrother Robert Albright (Karen); nieces and nephews, Cody, Kaitlyn and Noah of Fl. She is also survived by her fiancé, Lawrence P. Carbone, with whom she made her home; and his children, Sheri Hardman, Kelli and Katherine Carbone. Funeral Information The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, for a Celebration of Diane's Life, on Friday, October 5th between the hours of 4:00 and 6:00pm.
