Obituary of Sylvia Esposito

Sylvia Esposito May 30, 1935 - November 22, 2005 Sylvia (Walendzik) Esposito, 70, of South Meadow Drive, Danbury, devoted wife of the late Gerald Esposito, died at Danbury Hospital on Tuesday, November 22nd after a courageous battle with a brief illness. She was born in Danbury on May 30, 1935, daughter of the late Anthony and Frances (Hassiak) Walendzik. She was a graduate of Danbury High School . Mrs. Esposito was a loyal and dedicated employee at Physicians for Women where she worked as a bookkeeper for more than thirty years. She was a lifelong, active parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Danbury. She was member of the Fair Rent Commission in Danbury and enjoyed involvement in the Ladies Red Hats Society. She loved to travel and attend plays and shows. Most importantly, Mrs. Esposito was a loving person who shared herself generously with her family and anyone in need. Anyone who knew her will never forget her zest for life, and her willingness to befriend someone of any age or walk of life. She was a loving and cherished mother who will be sadly missed by her children, Randy Esposito and his fiance Janice Landheer of Danbury and Darlene Ann Esposito of Danbury; her grandsons, Joshua and Joseph Esposito. She is also survived by her nephews Alan and Jeffrey Lendaro, and Richard Emard; her nieces, Kathy Harris, Lauri Ann Confortini, Dana Nunes, and Kristen Emard; and her sisters-in-law, Rita Lendaro, Laura Esposito and Dalyx Esposito; as well as family members, Gary and Anne Harris and several great nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 28th at 10:00am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, November 27th between the hours of 4:00 and 8:00pm.
