Obituary of Michael S. Emond

Michael S. Emond July 03, 1953 - February 15, 2007 Michael S. Emond, 53, of Carmen Hill Road, Brookfield, devoted husband of Mary (McMullin) Emond, died at Danbury Hospital on Thursday, February 15, 2007. He was born in Astoria, NY on July 3, 1953, son of Wanda (Albini) Emond and the late Gerard J. Emond. Michael was the Vice President of Bursco Sign, Inc where he was a graphic artist for the past 30 years. He was a talented artist who enjoyed drawing black and white portraits for his family. Mike's talent as a graphic designer is visible in the many signs and logos that he designed for area business. He took great pride in his home and enjoyed many improvements and projects around the house. He was an avid golfer and loved taking part in his children's many sports activities. Michael also enjoyed traveling to various tropical islands. In addition to his mother, Wanda of Brookfield; and his cherished wife of 26 years, Mary, he will be sadly missed by his son, Matthew Emond and his fiancé Amy Scarlet; his daughter Jayna Emond of Brookfield; his brother, John Emond and his wife, Susan of Thomaston; and his sister Susan Champagne of Brookfield; as well as several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Marlys McMullin; and in-laws, Tim and Cathy McMullin, Ann and John Francisco, Kevin and Eileen McMullin, Colleen and Todd Zoob, Tom and Lori McMullin, David McMullin, Tim and Teresa Geise, John and Kelli McMullin, Erin and Jim Cunha, Megan and Michael Pelligrino. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield, on Tuesday, February 20th at 11:00am. Burial in Central Cemetery will take place in the Spring. The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Monday, February 19th between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00pm.
