Obituary of Joseph F. Ashby

Joseph F. Ashby Sr. June 30, 1942 - September 20, 2008 Joseph F. Ashby, Sr., age 66, of Naugatuck, died at his home on Saturday, September 20th. He was born in Patterson, NY on June 30, 1942, son of the late Walter and Mildred (Himple) Ashby. Mr. Ashby was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the United States Army. He worked as a molder for Castings Corporation and later for Burndy Corporation. He will be sadly missed by his companion, Linda Ashby of Naugatuck; his son, Joseph Ashby, Jr. of Naugatuck; his daughter, Jennifer Clarkson of Thomaston; his four grandchildren Brittany and Sabrina Clarkson, Jaydan Bloom, and Madison Ashby; his brother, Robert Ashby and his wife, Dawn of NY; his two sisters, Betty Delong of VA, and Shirley Fletcher of VT; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral Information A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 27th at 9:30am at the Veteran's Cemetery in Middletown. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday evening between 6:00 and 8:00pm.
