Obituary of Angela M. Doran

Angela M. Doran February 14, 1920 - December 11, 2005 Angela (Maggi) Doran of Brookfield, wife of Earl Doran, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, December 11th. She was born on February 14, 1920 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Leo and Ida (Spigarolo) Maggi. Prior to her marriage, Angela worked as a buyer for a department store and her memories of those days were always special to her. She left that career to devote her life to the care of her husband and children. For many years Angela was also active in the League of Women Voters and enjoyed her civic work immensely. In addition to her adoring husband of 60 years, Earl, she is survived by her loving children, Glenn Doran of Waterbury, Gayle and Alan Hague of New Milford, Patrick Doran and Carolyn Palleria of Thomaston, Laurence Doran and Pamela St. John of Bethlehem, Lisa Doran of New Milford and Aimee and David Martin of Simsbury. She also leaves her brother, Ennio Maggi of Southbury; and her grandchildren, Cristin Hague, Emily Eyth, Brian Doran, John and Joey Martin, all of whom she cherished; several nieces, nephews, and extended family were also close to her heart. We will all miss you, Angie, Mom and Grandma. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church, Brookfield, on Wednesday, December 14th at 10:00am. Cremation will take place at the direction of the family. There are no calling hours. The Brookfield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
