Obituary of Andrew R. Deeb

Andrew R. Deeb October 06, 1940 - March 05, 2006 Andrew R. "Butch/Sonny" Deeb, 65, of Shelter Rock Road, Danbury, devoted husband of Nancy (Rodney) Deeb, passed away at Danbury Hospital on Sunday, March 5th. He was born in Dunmore, PA., on October 6, 1940, son of Lucille (Pavlinsky) Deeb of Charlestown, New Hampshire, and the late Frank Deeb. He was a graduate of Henry Abbott Technical School, Class of 1959. Mr. Deeb was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a mechanic for Dolan Oil Company for more than 20 years. He was currently working as a heavy duty Truck Driver for Equip Corp in New Milford, where he was employed for 16 years. He was a member of the Local Teamsters Union #191 and Operating Engineers #478. Mr. Deeb was the Patriarch of the family and he loved to remind his four sisters that he was "the Oldest and Only Son." He enjoyed traveling to many places, including Hawaii, the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Nashville, and Florida. His favorite pastime was to socialize at area diners and restaurants. His greatest delight was his beloved grandsons and attending their sports events. He also enjoyed coaching girl's softball. In addition to his mother, Lucille, and Nancy, his wife of forty years, he will be sadly missed by his daughters, Beverly Deeb Sporbeck and her husband, Steven of Danbury, Sandra E. Jefferies and her husband, David of Maryland; his grandsons, Jeremy S. and Timothy A. Sporbeck, and David A. Jefferies, II. He is also survived by his four sisters, Carol Whalen and her husband Brian (Chris) of Danbury, Clara Donnelly and her husband, Edward of Norwalk, Judy Wright and her husband Robert of Middletown, and Patricia Montroy of Charlestown, New Hampshire; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his many friends. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 11th at St. Mary Church, Bethel, at 10:00am. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery will follow. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday, March 10th between the hours of 2:00 - 4:00pm and 6:00 - 8:00pm.
