Obituary of Dorothy Irene Archiere

Dorothy Irene Archiere January 29, 1918 - March 08, 2006 Dorothy Irene Archiere, 88, of Osborne St. Danbury, wife of the late Pasquale "Patsy" Archiere, passed away at Danbury Hospital, on Wednesday, March 8th. She was surrounded by her loving children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Mrs. Archiere was born in East Providence, RI, on January 29, 1918, daughter of the late Frank and Irene (Ormsby) Sousa. She worked as a machine packer for Amphenol RF Division and retired in 1986. She was a loving and devoted mother who was happiest when spending time with her family and her two cats, Syris and Magic. She will be sadly missed by her three daughters, Marian Sundlof and her husband John of Redding, Donna Conway and her husband, Jim of Danbury, and Rosann Dachenhausen and her husband Brian of Danbury; her four sons, Anthony Archiere and his wife, Gertrude, Patrick Archiere and his wife, Barbara, Cary Archiere and his wife, Nina, Daniel Archiere and his wife, Sara, all of Danbury; her twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-nine great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, William Sousa of Rhode Island; Nancy O'Dell of Danbury; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Ellen Jasinski. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude for the loving care Mrs. Archiere received at the Danbury Hospital, 8 West and 9 East. They were blessed with the comfort of knowing that their mother was being cared for by "God's Angels" through the compassionate care of the staff at Danbury Hospital. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 13th at 10:00am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Danbury. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery will follow. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, March 12th between the hours of 6:00 and 9:00pm. Donations Information In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor choice.
