Obituary of Cary J. Archiere

Cary J. Archiere Sr November 04, 1944 - April 14, 2010 Cary Joseph Archiere Sr., 65, of Danbury, CT passed away unexpectedly on April 14th 2010. Cary was born in Danbury on November 4th, 1944. He was predeceased by his parents Pasquale and Dorothy Archiere and brother Anthony Archiere. He was an avid fan of auto racing from his days as a stockcar driver and official with the SYNRA to his twice annual trip to the Dover Deleware NASCAR race. He was also a member of the Connecticut Yankee Chapter of the Antique Truck Club of America. For those who knew Cary undoubtedly will remember his generous and loving heart. From his days as a volunteer at the Dorothy Day Hospitality House to his annual Lobster Fest to the neighborhood playground he built in his backyard. To Cary, every day was a party, every meal a feast. Some people are the life of the party, Cary was life of any room he was in. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 45 years, Nina Jane Archiere, his children Carrieann Tomaino and husband Frank, Cary Archiere Jr and wife Lauren, and the center of his world, his grandchildren Joseph Cary Tomaino, Michael Francis Tomaino, Bethany Rose Archiere, and Nina Jane Archiere. As well as his brothers and sisters, Marion Sundolf and husband Jack, Patrick Archiere and wife Barbara, Donna Conway and husband Jim, Rosanne Dachenhausen and husband Brian, Daniel Archiere and wife Sarah and his sister-in-law Gertrude Archiere. And his extended family and devoted neighbors Adrian and Tatianna Reis and their children Adriana and Issac. Cary also had several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews all of whom he loved as his own. His special gift of friendship touched so many people. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 19th at 10:30am at St. Peter Church. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, April 18th between the hours of 3:00 and 7:00pm. Donations Information In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Dorothy Day Hospitality House of Danbury, Ct.
