Obituary of Margaret R. Collins

Margaret R. Collins January 29, 1916 - October 01, 2005 Margaret "Peg" Collins, 89, died at Pope John Paul the II Center for Health Care, on Saturday, October 1st. She was born in New York City on January 29, 1916, loving daughter of the late Andrew and Alice Collins. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart School on the Westside of NYC, and Julia Richmond High School. She worked a secretary for many years and retired as a secretary at the New York State C.P.A Society. Peg summered in Danbury from the early 1950's and became a fulltime resident in 1994. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her pleasant manner and winning smile. She will be sadly missed by her beloved nieces and nephews, James Dunne of Maryland, Alice McMahon of Maryland, Andrew Dunne of Arizona, Terrance Fitzsimons of Danbury, and Margaret Fitzsimons of Danbury. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving sisters, Mary Dunne and Alice Fitzsimons. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 4th at 11:00am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Monday, October 3rd between the hours of 6 and 8pm.
