Obituary of Maurice E. Cloutier

Maurice E. Cloutier June 28, 1933 - November 21, 2006 Maurice E. Cloutier, 73, of Brooks Quarry Road, Brookfield, died at New Milford Nursing Home on Tuesday, November 21st. He was born in Manchester, New Hampshire on June 28, 1933, son of the late Napoleon and Aurone (Lavoie) Cloutier. Mr. Cloutier was a Veteran of the United States Air force, serving during peacetime. He worked for the State Department for six years and then went on to work as a manager for Duracell for fifteen years. He enjoyed trains and was a member of the Danbury Railway Museum. During his time in the service and the State Department he had the opportunity to travel the world, enjoying his time in England most of all. He loved to work outside with plants. He is survived by his nephew, John Cloutier of East Granby; his niece, Karen Fontaine; two great nieces, Tanya Slayter and Autumn Fontaine; and one great grandnephew, Zachary Slayter. He is also survived by Bridie Austin, a close friend whose love and support has been very appreciated by the family. Funeral Information Cremation will take place at the direction of the family. There are no services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury. The family would like to extend special thanks to the Danbury Hospital and Bob Bennett from the North Western VNA.
