Obituary of Paul S. Citrin

Paul S. Citrin April 14, 1943 - February 15, 2007 Paul S. Citrin, 63, of Danbury, beloved husband and best friend of Kimi M. (Wuhrer) Citrin, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, February 15, 2007. The Citrins had been together for 26 years. Paul was born in Portland Maine on April 14, 1943, son of the late Michael and Edith (Jacobson) Citrin. He graduated from Deering High School and attended Boston University prior to moving to Danbury in 1968. For the past 30 years Paul served as President and CEO of Tridak, Division of Indicon, Inc. Before having children, Paul and Kimi were competitive ballroom dancers and he served as a president of the Competition Committee for the United States Amateur Ballroom Dance Association. The couple continued to enjoy dance practices weekly with their ballroom family. In more recent years, Paul was an active board member and coach with the Danbury Youth Baseball program, in which his son Jesse plays. In his free time, he also enjoyed building and flying control line model airplanes. In addition to his cherished wife, Kimi, he is survived by his children, Tracy (Citrin) Curran and her husband, Phillip, of Mannheim, Germany, Kristopher Citrin and his wife, Janice, of Hickory, North Carolina, Jesse and Jamie Citrin of Danbury; and his four grandchildren, Jakob, Joshua, Madison and Alexa. He is also survived by two sisters, Roberta Svetkey of Plainville, MA and Lee Ann Osteen of West Buxton, MA; his brother, Anthony Citrin of Peru, NE; as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A Graveside Service will be held at the United Jewish Cemetery in Brookfield Tuesday, February 20th at 3:00pm. Family and friends are invited to share in a Celebration of Paul's life at 3:30pm at Mario's Pasta Garden, 174 Federal Road, Brookfield.
