Concetta Chudy
August 19, 1921 - June 25, 2010
Concetta "Chick" (Gallo) Chudy, 88, of Danbury, beloved wife of E. Henry Chudy, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, June 25th. She was born in the family home on Victor Street in Danbury on August 19, 1921, daughter of the late Pasquale and Karngle (Gillotte) Gallo. She was a graduate of Danbury High School.
In her earlier years, she worked for Schultz Answering Service, the first answering service in Danbury. Later, she worked as a sales clerk in the Home Goods Department of JC Penny. She was loved by all who knew her.
In addition to her cherished husband of 58 years, Henry, she will be sadly missed by her three sisters, Mary Figueiredo and Frances Lee, both of Danbury, and Christine Stewart of GA; numerous nieces and nephews, especially Patricia and James Murphy of Danbury, and Maria and George Beckwith of Florida. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 28th at 11:00am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Monday morning between the hours of 9:30 and 10:30am. Donations Information
