Obituary of Concetta Zito

Concetta Zito December 08, 1915 - September 11, 2005 Concetta "Connie" Zito, 89, of Regen Road, Danbury, wife of the late Donato Zito, died at her home, in the presence of her family, on Sunday, September 11th. She was born in Brooklyn, NY., on December 8, 1915, daughter of the late Andrea and Bartolina (Ladonna) Sapanaro. She made her home in the Danbury area for more than fifty years. Mrs. Zito worked as a supervisor for American Cyanamid until she retired in 1974. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her three daughters, Cecelia Louis and her husband Henry, Andrea Berger, all of Danbury, and Michele DeMunda and her husband, Frank, with whom she made her home. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Henry Louis, Jr. & Debbie, Donna Hart & Guy, Michele Maier & Michael, Karen Robinson & Don, Frank DeMunda, Jr., & Carrie, and Amy DeMunda. She is also survived by six great grandchildren; her two sisters, Betty Sapanaro of Kent, and Jennie Dama of Hackensack, NJ; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 14th at 10:00am at St. Gregory the Great Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Tuesday, September 13th between the hours of 4 and 8pm. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude for the kindness and loving care she received from the staff of Live-Ins for the Elderly and Tender Loving Care.
