Obituary of Marie Ann Waschenko

Marie Ann Waschenko October 28, 1924 - March 14, 2009 Marie Ann (Peet) Waschenko age 84, of Fleetwood Lane, Brookfield, wife of the late Michael A. Waschenko, died on Saturday, March, 14, 2009 at the Lutheran Home in Southbury, Ct. Marie was born in Yonkers, New York on October 28, 1924, daughter of the late William and Mary (Palmerton) Peet. She was employed by New York Telephone as well as AT&T for many years as a telephone operator. Marie was involved in the Telephone Pioneers Of America and in her retirement years devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her son Douglas Waschenko and wife Fran of Yonkers, Daughter Michele Janofsky and husband Robert of Brookfield, her five grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Waschenko; Kevin, Jeffrey, and Nicholas Janofsky; her two brothers, William and Frederick Peet; and her two sisters, Jeanne Avezzano and Carol Epperson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by her sister, Rosemary Minichino and her two brothers George and Robert Peet. Funeral Information Services will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Brookfield on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at 1:00pm.
