Obituary of Dorothy Visconti

Dorothy Visconti January 01, 1938 - May 26, 2008 Dorothy Visconti, age 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Our House Too in Rutland, VT on Monday, May 26th. She was born in Danbury on March 5, 1916, daughter of the late Michael and Susan (Repta) Mockovack. She married Edward L. Visconti on January 1, 1938. He preceeded her in death on September 15, 2004. Dorothy lived in Danbury until four years ago when she moved to Rutland, VT. She liked to travel and flea market in her younger years. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting for her family. She was a remarkable woman who loved her family and would help them in any way that she could. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Danbury for many years. Dorothy is loved and will be deeply missed by her children, Edward Visconti, Jr. and his wife, Carol of Rupert, VT, Robert Visconti of Fayetteville, NC; and her daughter, Linda Clemens of Wautoma, WI. She also leaves to cherish her memory eight grandchildren and spouses, Anthony and Dawn Freeman, Dean and Tina Belisle, Cynthia Visconti, Robert Visconti, Lynne Anne Visconti, Timothy Visconti, Richard and Jody Visconti, and Frank and Melissa Crane. She also leaves seven great grandchildren, Sean Branch, Judah Belisle, Nicole Hoffman, Montgomery Ann Crane, Frank Crane, Zeke Visconti and Isaac Visconti. She was predeceased by her three granddaughters, Laura Belisle, Tammy Ann Visconti, and Becky Lynn Visconti; as well as her six sisters and three brothers. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 31st at 10:30am at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury. Rev. Allen German of St. Paul Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning between the hours of 9:30 and 10:30am.
