Obituary of Jerome Terracino

Jerome Terracino February 22, 2008 Jerome "Jerry" Terracino, of Newtown, devoted husband of Patricia Ann Morasco-Terracino, died at Danbury Hospital on Friday, February 22nd. He was born in Goshen, NY, son of the late Joseph and Ida (Barbero) Terracino. He was the president and founder of Guardian Alarm Services in Danbury. From early childhood, he was both a co-provider and protector of his younger siblings. As an adult, in addition to being a very successful businessman, he was a kind and generous person to the community and everyone around him. Jerry's generosity extended beyond the local area. His most recent passion was supplying water to the people of Uganda. Jerry was a parishioner of St. Rose Church in Newtown and a former parishioner of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys. He was very active in church affairs, including retreats and Perpetual Adoration. He was a volunteer at the homeless shelter in Danbury, Danbury Hospital, and was a supporter of the Friends Network of Brewster. In addition to his loving wife and partner of 20 years, Patricia, he was a devoted father to Lynn Fonseca and her husband, Joseph, Thomas, Jennifer, Mia and Gianna Terracino, and doting grandfather to Nicholas, Kathryn, and Joshua Fonseca and Taryn Rose Terracino. He is also survived by three siblings, Colette Terracino, Margaret Rossman, and James Terracino; as well as countless nieces, nephews and cousins, who loved him dearly. He was preceeded in death by his brother, Joseph Terracino. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 27th at 10:00am at St. Rose Church in Newtown. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Tuesday evening between the hours of 4:00 - 8:00pm. This foundation will continue to support Jerry's philanthropic interests.
