William A. Strempski Sr. January 02, 1944 - September 15, 2006 William A. Strempski, Sr., age 62, formerly of Danbury, recently of New Milford died on September 15, 2006 at Danbury Hospital. He was the loving husband of Margaret (Carroll) Strempski. William was born on January 2, 1944 in Waverly, New York, a son of the late Joseph and Gerda (Crawn) Strempski. He was raised in Towanda, PA and moved to this area 53 years ago. He worked as a crane operator for 27 years for Dell's Auto Wrecking; he also subcontracted to Sperry Rail Service as a welder. Bill was a devoted family man who always thought of others first. Bill would not hesitate to help people who were down on their luck; he kept them under his wing until they could stand on their own. Bill enjoyed all that the outdoors had to offer: hunting, fishing and camping. He shared his love of the outdoors with his grandchildren often including them in fishing and camping trips. Besides his wife of 44 years, he is survived by 3 children: William A. Strempski, Jr. and his wife Noreen of Danbury, Thomas Strempski and his wife Melissa of Sherman, and Allyson Guevarez and her husband Ruben of New Milford; 3 brothers: James Strempski of Hagerstown, MD, Joseph Strempski of Danbury, and John Padelsky of Hagerstown, MD; 3 sisters: Rose Smierciak of Smithsburg, PA, Blanche Graham of New Milford and Gertrude Padelsky of Hagerstown, MD; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral Information The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at 7:00pm at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 until the time of the service at 7:00. Cremation will be at Charter Oak Crematory, Oxford, CT.
