Obituary of Jolan Lidia Andersen

Jolan Lidia Andersen May 01, 1916 - March 02, 2009 Jolan Lidia Andersen, 92, of New Fairfield, wife of the late Arne Andersen, died at The Village in Brookfield on Monday, March 2nd. She was born in Detroit, MI on May 1, 1916, daughter of the late Kalman and Julianna (Magyar) Gyenge. For many years Mrs. Andersen worked in customer service for Sears Co, and later was a private duty home healthcare aide. Prior to moving to the community, she made her home in Ann Arbor, MI, where she was an active volunteer with her church, and also volunteered to feed the poor and homeless. Mrs. Andersen was a friendly, loving and compassionate person. She loved reading, especially mysteries and archeology books. She also enjoyed vegetable gardening at her home in Ann Arbor MI. She will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Yolanda Trambauer and her husband, Charles of FL, and Andrea Andersen and son-in-law, Jerome Bielzna of New Fairfield; her four grandchildren, Valerie Thompson, Terry Norris and her husband, Arthur, Tracey Trambauer and her husband, Eric Porn, and Charles Trambauer; her four great grandchildren, Jason, Andrew, Chelsea, and Karl. She is also survived by her six nieces, Alexis, Julie, Patti, Margie, Barbara and Betty. She was predeceased by her three brothers, Louis, Sandor (Alexander), and Kalman Gyenge; and her nephew, John Gyenge. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury on Saturday, March 7th at 11:00am with Pastor Allen German of St. Paul's Lutheran Church officiating. Cremation will take place at the direction of the family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning between 10:00 and 11:00am. Donations Information Memorial Contributions in her memory may be made to Dorothy Day Hospitality House, Danbury or to Loaves and Fishes in New Milford.
