Obituary of Thomas W. Sexton

Thomas W. Sexton July 27, 1936 - May 23, 2006 Thomas W. Sexton, of Naples, Florida, formerly of New Fairfield, husband of Marlene (Muzzillo) Sexton, died at Danbury Hospital on Tuesday, May 23rd. He was born in the Bronx on July 27, 1936, son of the late Thomas P. and Helen V. (Morrissey) Sexton. Mr. Sexton worked as a maintenance man for the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 15A in New York City, retiring after 39 years of employment. He was a parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor Church, and was a member of the Lions Club in New Fairfield. He was a former Little League Coach in New Fairfield. He took part in the International Union Christmas Gifts for Tots and was a member of the Landscaping Committee in Naples, Fla. He enjoyed bowling, playing horseshoes, golf, poker and fishing. In addition to his cherished wife of 47 years, Marlene, he is survived by his six children, Marla Ehrhard and her husband Daniel of Danbury, Thomas Sexton and his wife, Caterina of Mahopac, NY., Cynthia Haddad and her husband Nicholas of Waterbury, Catherine Dale and her husband, Christopher of Southbury, Robert Sexton and his wife, Suzanna of Wilton, and Tara Sexton of Danbury. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; his sister, MaryEllen Kimble and her husband, George of Roxbury; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at St. Edward the Confessor Church at 10:30am. The Family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Thursday between the hours of 7:00 and 9:00 pm.
