Obituary of Joseph J. Setti

Joseph J. Setti Sr July 27, 1930 - November 10, 2006 Joseph J. Setti Sr., of Valley View Road, Brookfield, devoted husband of Valentina (Lionetti) Setti, died at his home, in the presence of his loved ones, on Friday, November 10th. He was born in New Canaan on July 27, 1930, son of the late Frank and Josephine (Marciano) Setti. Mr. Setti was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving with the United States Army. He worked as a service technician for Greentree Toyota in Brookfield. Most importantly, he was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved and cherished his family. In addition to his beloved wife of 54 years, Valentina, he will be sadly missed by his son, Joseph J. Setti, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer of Brookfield; his three daughters, Joanne Brunetti and her husband William of Newtown, Concetta Main and her husband, James, Jr., of Brookfield, and Valentina Hyde and her partner, Thomas Kopko of Danbury; his grandchildren, William Brunetti and his wife, Tammy, Katie Brunetti, James Main III, Joseph Main, Katy Hyde, Morgan Breece and her husband, Tyrone, Samuel Hyde, Tiffany, Jeremy, Joseph J. Setti III, Brittany and Lexi Setti; and four great grandchildren, Hunter, Jackson, Zoe and Rone. He is also survived by his brother, Paul Setti of Norwalk; his sisters, Rose Creedon and Antoinette Giordano, both of Stamford; and his brother-in-law, Fred Lionetti. He was predeceased by his three brothers, Frank Setti Jr., Dominic Setti, and Joseph Greco. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 13th at 10:00am at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church in Brookfield. Burial in Central Cemetery, Brookfield, will follow. The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Sunday, November 12th between the hours of 3:00 and 7:00pm.
