Obituary of Agnes V. Rose

Agnes V. Rose October 08, 1920 - November 05, 2006 Agnes V. (Lutz) Rose, wife of the late Francis X. Rose, and longtime Brookfield resident, died Sunday at the Lutheran Home in Southbury. She was born in New York City on October 8, 1920, daughter of the late William and Jane (Rothenhausler) Lutz. Mrs. Rose was a homemaker who lovingly maintained the family home for her husband and children. She served as President of the Garden Club of Brookfield and was a sustaining member at her death. She was an active parishioner of St. Joseph Parish in Brookfield where she developed many close friendships. She is survived by two children, Richard Rose of Woodbury and Kathleen Garofalo and her husband James of Roxbury; and five grandchildren, Jennifer Garofalo of Florida, David Rose and his wife, Tracey of Beacon Falls, Tina Garofalo of Brookfield, Marybeth D'Amico and her husband Matthew of Brookfield, Robert Rose and his fiancé, Michelle Proto of Manchester. She is also survived by one great granddaughter, Clara Nicole D'Amico. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 10th at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, New Milford. The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield on Thursday between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00pm.
