John L. Potenziani April 13, 1935 - October 27, 2006 John L. Potenziani age 71 of Starr Ave. Danbury died at his home on Oct 27,2006 with his loving family at his side. He was the husband of Jeanette M. (Brennan) Potenziani. John was born in Danbury April 13,1935 son of the late Constantino and Theresa Messena Potenziani. He graduated from Danbury High School Class of 1953. An Army Veteran he served in the US Photo Division in Ft. Bragg NC, Korea and Ft. Monmouth NJ and was honorable discharged as Spec. Sgt. He was employed for 22 years as custodian at the Danbury Hospital and previously worked for Castro Convertible and the First National Stores both in Danbury. John was a life time member of St. Joseph Church in Danbury and The VFW Post 854 He was past President of the Candlewood Camera Club, past member of the Castro Bowling League and the Epilepsy Foundation of America. And a member of AARP #3340. Besides his loving and devoted wife of 38 years he is survived by his brothers Enrico J. Potenziani and his wife Rosemary of Kathleen Ga., and Donald F. Potenziani and his wife Nora of Kissiamee Fla. And his sister Carolyn Johnson and her husband Donald of Norman Arkansas. His special cousin Pat Cypher of Danbury whom he enjoyed as his partner in "Aggravation" a marble game they played together. Also several nieces, nephews and cousins will morn his loss. John was predeceased by his parents, a brother Louis and a sister Palma(Pacific) Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tues Oct 31,2006 at 10am at St. Joseph Church Danbury Burial will take place in St. Peter Cemetery with full military honors.
