Obituary of Keith J. Platz

Keith J. Platz June 10, 1961 - March 08, 2010 Keith J. Platz passed away on Monday, March 8th in Parkersburg, W. Virginia after a lengthy illness. He was 48 years old. He was born June 10th, 1961 in Glen Cove, NY. Keith spent his younger years growing up on Long Island, NY and in Connecticut. He moved to W. Virginia 10 years ago. He was a gifted carpenter who enjoyed sketching portraits and writing poetry. He is survived by his father and step-mom, Warren and Ruthann Platz of Danbury; his sisters: Karen Platz (Brian Gruss) of Danbury, Janice Schief of East Islip, LI, Ann-Marie McKenna (Alex) of Massapequa Park, LI, step-sister Melissa Elliott-Walker (Ray) of New Fairfield, CT, his brothers Brian Platz (Shelly) of Bethel, CT, Valentine Platz of Alexandria, VA, step-brother Scott Elliott of Danbury; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his children Stephen, Kristen and Aimee. He leaves behind his devoted soul mate and companion, Linda Carder of Parkersburg. Keith was predeceased by his mother, Valerie Stanco. Funeral Information There will be no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are being made by Cornell Memorial Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joseph Church, Main St., Danbury, CT at 10:00am on Saturday, March 20th.
