Obituary of Louis J. Biglarderi

Louis J. Biglarderi February 03, 1915 - December 17, 2008 Louis J. Biglarderi, 93, of Gregory Street, Danbury, devoted husband of 64 years to Lydia (Rogers) Biglarderi, died peacefully at home in the presence of his family, on Wednesday, December 17th. He was born in Danbury on February 3, 1915, son of the late Vincenzo Biglarderi and Rose Biglarderi Amendola. He was a graduate of St. Peter School in Danbury, and was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church. Mr. Biglarderi was a veteran of World War II, serving as a staff sergeant with the United States Army. He was a recipient of the Meritorious Service Award. He was the proprietor of Recreation Bowling Lanes in Danbury, and was inducted into the State of Connecticut Duckpin Bowling Hall of Fame in 2002. He later worked as a bartender for the Ridgewood Country Club, Eldorado Restaurant, and The Old Oak. He enjoyed membership in the Catholic War Veterans, Post 1042, and the American Legion Post 60. In addition to his beloved wife, Lydia, he will be sadly missed by his daughters, Louise Richter of New Preston, and Linda Kayfus and her husband, John of Danbury; his four grandchildren, Chris Biglarderi, Troy Kayfus and his wife, Gloria, Melissa Mamudi and her husband, Fitor, Jason Kayfus and his wife, Gerri Ann; his eight great grandchildren, Dylan and Dakota Kayfus, Jakob, Ariana and Jalyn Mamudi, and Ryan, Tristen and Shayne Kayfus. He was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Velardi, Theresa Mascari, and Anna LePage; his brothers, Daniel Amendola and Joseph Biglarderi; and his stepfather, Joseph Amendola. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 22nd at 10:00am. at St. Joseph Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00pm.
