Julia Null, Age 83, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, died on January 1, 2007 at Hancock Hall in Danbury. Julia was the widow of the late Warren J. Null, Sr. Julia was born on June 9, 1923 in Jewett City, CT, the youngest of six children of Jan and Valeria Garstka, both of who had emigrated from Poland.
She graduated from Griswold High School, Class of 1940. During WWII, Julia worked for the war effort at Bridgeport Brass and Hamilton Aircraft. She worked for many years at Plastic Wire & Cable in Jewett City. Upon moving to Danbury, she worked for Branson Ultrasonics for over 20 years. She and her husband Warren traveled extensively in their years together. A lifelong musician, she became a student of jazz piano in her seventies. She was a communicant of St. Gregory the Great Parish.
Mrs. Null is survived by her daughter, Nancy Null and son-in-law Richard Proulx of Westford, MA; two devoted stepsons: Leo Null and his wife Kathy of Bridgewater, Warren Null and his wife Gail of Danbury; 6 grandchildren: Julia Proulx, Richard Proulx, David Null, Christopher Null, Melissa Svahra, and Shane Null, and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be conducted on Thursday, January 4, 2007 from the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury at 9:15 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Church at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Donations Information
