Obituary of Janet Elaine Novicky

Janet Elaine Novicky August 26, 1934 - March 28, 2006 Janet Elaine Novicky, 71, of Ball Pond Road, New Fairfield, devoted wife of Donald R. Novicky, Sr. passed away at Bethel Health Care Center on Tuesday, March 28th. She was born in Mount Kisco, NY., on August 26, 1934, daughter of the late Homer A. and Luella (Smith) Norton. She was a graduate of Danbury High School, class of 1952. Janet was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was happiest spending time with her family and creating a loving home environment for all family and friends. She put her loved one's needs before her own and supported them unconditionally. She was an active member of the Congregational Church of New Fairfield where she served as an Officer of the Service Club for many years, and was honored as a Deacon Emeritus. She served as Chairman of the American Red Cross Blood Drives for New Fairfield and was active with the organization for more than 25 years. She also volunteered for many civic activities in New Fairfield. In all Janet's endeavors her energy was boundless. In addition to her husband of 52 years, Donald, she will be sadly missed by her sons, Donald R. Novicky, Jr. of New Fairfield, James B. Novicky and his wife, Susan, of Brookfield, and Stephen M. Novicky of New Fairfield; her daughters, Pamela J. Dohan and her husband Nicholas of New Fairfield, Lisa A. Fassbender and her husband Stephen of Scotland, CT., and Linda S. Green and her husband James of New Fairfield; her thirteen grandchildren, Jennifer, Kelly, Danielle, Nicole, Amanda, Thomas, Amy, Gregory, Andrew, Brian, Elijah, Matthew and Sean; and her great grandchildren, Carina, Carlos, and Anthony. She is also survived by her brothers, Homer Norton of Danbury, Raymond Norton of Southbury, and Kevin Norton of New Fairfield; her sisters, Marilyn Worth of New Milford, and Sandra Paradise of Redding; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her infant son, Keith Thomas Novicky. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at the Congregational Church of New Fairfield on Saturday, April 1st at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, New Fairfield. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday, March 31st between the hours of 4:00pm and 8:00pm.
