Thomas R. Neary "Ray," 89, of Stony Hill Village, Brookfield, husband of the late Nora Neary, died at his home on Saturday, May 15th. He was born in New York City on February 9, 1921, son of the late Thomas and Bridget (Horkan) Neary. He attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY.
Mr. Neary was a Veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Marine Corps. He worked as a sales manager for AT&T, retiring after 30 years.
He was an active parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church, and the Senior Citizens group. He was a member of the Brookfield Senior Center, and the Newbury Men's Club. He was also active in Daily Bread, providing donated food to needy families.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Patricia Reape and her husband, Robert of Danbury; his four grandchildren, Kathleen Reape Capone and her husband, Matthew, Tricia, Colleen and Marianne Reape; as well as four nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his two brothers, John Francis, and Paul Roy; and his sister, Sr. Mary Leocadia. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 20th at 10:00am at St. Gregory the Great Church. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Wednesday between the hours of 3:00 - 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00pm.
