Obituary of Liana Patricia Nault

Liana Patricia Nault March 17, 1935 - January 15, 2008 Liana Patricia Nault, lovingly known as Pat, of High Ridge Road, Brookfield, devoted wife of Roger Nault, died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Tuesday, January 15th at the age of 72. She was born in Washington, DC on March 17, 1935, daughter of the late Giorgio R. and Alba M. (Landi) Franchi. Pat and her husband made their home in Brookfield in 1969. Together they owned and operated Pat and Roger's Lakeshore Grocery in Brookfield for 22 years. She was well known for her famous potato salad. Pat was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She especially enjoyed caring for her grandchildren, taking them fishing, crabbing and making crafts. Her love of cooking was the focal point of all family gatherings. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Brookfield. In addition to her beloved husband of 48 years, Roger, she will be sadly missed by her four cherished children, Ronald J. Nault and wife, Joanne of Guilford, George R. Nault and wife, Lisa of Woodbury, Darlene P. Nebinger and husband, Monty of Oxford, and Michelle M. DeBenedetto and husband Tom of Danbury; her six grandchildren, Michael, Chelsey, Joey, and Christina Liana Nault, and twins, Aryanna and Gabrielle DeBenedetto. She is also survived by her brother, John Franchi and wife, Roxana of Oxford, England; her two sisters, Joy M. Cassidy of Rockville, MD, and Gloria M. Sanders of Bowie, MD; as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield on Saturday, January 19th at 10:00am. Cremation will take place at the direction of the family. The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Friday, January 18th between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00pm.
