Obituary of Alexander B Naradzay

Mr. Alexander B Naradzay Sr. February 28, 1923 - May 11, 2010 Alexander B. Naradzay, Sr. Alexander B. Naradzay, Sr., age 87, of Brookfield died on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Pope John Paul II Care & Rehab Center. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth (Schulz) Naradzay. He was born in Yonkers, NY on February 28, 1923, a son of the late John and Josephine (Hudiak) Naradzay. An Army Veteran, he served in the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater during WWII. A glazier, for many years he worked for Harris Glass in Yonkers, NY and then opened his own business known Hastings Glass Company in Hastings/ on/ Hudson. He met and married his first wife, Gloria (Cervelli) Naradzay and raised their family in New York and then they moved to Brookfield in the 1970's. Gloria died in 1980 at the age of 56. He is survived by his children: Alexander Naradzay, Jr. of Webster, MA, Gregory Naradzay of Hastings/on/ Hudson, NY, and Bernadette Martin and her husband Larry of San Demis, CA; a brother: John Naradzay of Texas; a sister Leona Dobson of Yonkers, NY; 6 grandchildren: Jenny Cronin, Lisa Widen, Rachael Naradzay-Adock, Alyssa, Korkeris, Daniel Lombardo, and Michael Lombardo; 5 great grandchildren: Elena, Ryan, Emily Joy, Daniel Thomas, and Tyler; and a stepdaughter: Kathleen Spatola of Texas. He was predeceased by a sister, Ronnie Yonkers. Funeral Information A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury, CT. The family will receive friends from 9:00 until the time of the service at 10:30am. Burial will be on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 11:00am at St. Peter's Cemetery, Section 13.
