Obituary of Maurice E. McNamare

Maurice E. McNamare December 16, 1929 - September 07, 2008 Maurice E. McNamare, 78, of Hoyt St. Danbury, husband of the late Edwina McNamare, died at Danbury Hospital on Sunday, September 7th. He was born in Danbury on December 16, 1929, son of the late Maurice McNamare and Alice Carroll. Mr. McNamare worked as a machinist for Messengers. He was devoted to his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved a good joke, eagles, playing the guitar and listening to music. He will be sadly missed by his three sons, Maurice, Jr. (Dawn), Richard (Beverly), Robert (Stacey); his daughter, Jo-Ann (Peter Hornik IV); his nine beloved grandchildren, Christina Pinet (Michael), Richard McNamare, Jr., Peter, Nathaniel and Jacob Hornik, David and Joshua Racowski, Wayne and Rene Schrack; and six great grandchildren, Michael and Jaylin Pinet, Adrianna, Elyiza, Maurice, and Aaliuah Milton. He is also survived by his sisters, Barbara Racine, Margaret Strempski, and Kathy Cann (Rick); several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Thursday, September 11th at 11:30am. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday between 10:00 and 12:00pm.
