Obituary of Carmine Mancusi

Carmine Mancusi July 16, 1942 - October 20, 2005 Carmine "Papi" Mancusi, 63, of Nashville Road, Bethel, husband of Giuseppina (Langone) Mancusi, went Home to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, October 20th at Danbury Hospital. He was born in Teggiano, Italy on July 16, 1942, the youngest of the eleven children of the late Michael and Agnes (Furiati) Mancusi. Mr. Mancusi made his home in the United States in 1960 and worked as a self employed Electronic Technician. He spoke several languages, enjoyed cooking, wine, soccer, bocce, Western movies, playing free cell and painting with both oil and water colors. He was happiest when spending time with his family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and the ability to make people laugh. He was well known to many for his spectacular Christmas light display on Weed Road in Bethel. Most importantly, Mr. Mancusi was a dedicated student of the Bible. His greatest gifts to his children were his example of living a humble life, and instilling a solid foundation of Faith and love of God in them. In addition to his wife, Giuseppina, he will be sadly missed by his children, Michael J. Mancusi and his wife, Amy of Danbury, David Mancusi and his wife Emily of Danbury, Agnes Mancusi and her fiancé, Chris Dickinson, of Bethel. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters in Italy. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 24th at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church in Brookfield at 10:30 am. with Father Peter Towsley officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Bethel. The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, on Sunday, October 23rd between the hours of 3:00pm and 7:00pm.
