Frank Malichio

Frank Malichio, 73, of Danbury, beloved husband of Arlene (Byrnes) Malichio, died on Wednesday, February 16th, surrounded by his family, at New Milford Hospital. He was born in New York, NY on March 6, 1937, son of Pauline (Giovaniello) Malichio of Manhattan, NY, and the late Michael Malichio.
Frank worked in the Reprographics department of General Reinsurance in Stamford, retiring after more than 30 years of employment. He was a family man who devoted himself to providing love and support for his wife and seven children. He enjoyed old movies, music, and loved being with his grandchildren. He was a lifelong fan of the Detroit Tigers.
In addition to his cherished wife of 53 years, Arlene, and his mother, Pauline, he will be sadly missed by his children, Paula St. Amand and her husband, Ron of Danbury, Laura Campanelli of Branford, Ann Marie Corso and her husband, Gregory of Danbury, Christine Kijek and her husband, Ed of Bethel, Frances Mendonca of Danbury, Anthony Malichio of Danbury, and Mary Ann Mitchell and her husband, Robert of New Milford; his fifteen grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He is also survived by his brother, Anthony Malichio; his two sisters, Nina Messier and her husband, Eddie, and Cathy Malichio; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 21st at 10:00am at St. Gregory the Great Church. Cremation will take place at the direction of the family.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, February 20th between the hours of 2:00 and 5:00pm. Donations Information
