Obituary of Doris Jane Beers

Doris Jane Beers December 01, 1923 - March 07, 2009 Doris Jane Beers, age 85, of Danbury, died at the Danbury Hospital on March 7, 2009. She was born December 1, 1923, daughter of the late Royal and Caroline (Dowling) Beers. Doris was a graduate of Danbury High School. She worked at Barden Corp. as a Key Punch Operator. Doris was an avid Red Sox Fan, as well as a UConn Women's Basketball Fan. She also enjoyed reading. She will be sadly missed by her brother Robert and his wife Dot, of Brookfield, as well as her several Nieces and Nephews. Doris was predeceased by her brothers Edwin and Raymond Beers, as well as her sisters Lucille Gavagan and Gloria Elwell. Funeral Information A service celebrating Doris' life will take place at St. James Episcopal Church, on West Street, on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 10:30am. The family will receive friends at The Cornell Memorial Home, Wednesday between the hours of 9:00 and 10:15am.
