Obituary of Edward L. Lombardo

Edward L. Lombardo July 19, 1926 - October 07, 2005 Edward L. Lombardo, 79, of Hickory Trail, Danbury, beloved husband of 59 years of Hazel (Wright) Lombardo, died at home on Friday, October 7th in the presence of his family. He was born in Camden, New Jersey on July 19, 1926, son of the late Daniel and Angelina (Pischetto) Lombardo. Mr. Lombardo loved his chosen profession in carpentry. He worked for Vinylum in Greenwich, and was also a self employed carpenter locally. Mr. Lombardo was a car enthusiast, owning many race cars and show cars. He was a devoted family man who supported his loved ones in countless ways. He was always willing to come to the aid of someone in need. He will be sadly missed. In addition to his wife, Hazel, he is survived by his daughter, Barbara Coker of Winsted; his sons, Allen and his wife, Connie of New Milford, John and his wife, Jennifer of Barryville, NY., Lewis and his wife, Krissy of Danbury and James Lombardo of New Milford; his cherished thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Claudette Liberto of Vineland, NJ; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Monday, October 10th at 10:00am with Pastor Walt Harper of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Burial in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery will follow. The Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 9th at the Cornell Memorial Home between the hours of 5 and 8pm Donations Information Memorial Contributions in Mr. Lombardo's name may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 18 Clapboard Ridge Road, Danbury, CT. 06811; or to the Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut, 405 Main Street, Danbury, CT. 06810.
