Booker T. Lewis
February 26, 1927 - November 17, 2004
Booker T. Lewis, 77, of Wooster Manor, Danbury, died at Danbury Hospital on Wednesday, November 17th. He was born in Lumberton, Mississippi, on February 26, 1927, son of the late Theodore and Rebecca (Watts) Lewis.
Mr. Lewis was a Veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army in Germany. He received the Victory Metal and the Army of Occupation Medal. He then worked as a machinist for Barden Corporation for more than twenty years. Upon his retirement he worked for Mr. and Mrs. John Addessi for many years.
He will be sadly missed by his fiancé and companion of eight years, Margaret of Danbury; his nieces and nephews; and all of Margaret's children and grandchildren who were like his own. He is also survived by his very best friends, Pete and Arlene Blunt. Funeral Information
A Memorial Service will be held privately for close friends at a later date. There are no calling hours. The Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, is in charge of arrangements. Donations Information
