Julia D. LaValla, 70, of New Milford, wife of the late Michael LaValla, died at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York on Saturday, March 13th. She was born in the Bronx, NY on March 4, 1940, daughter of the late Phillip and Julia (Oller) Pereira.
Mrs. LaValla worked in the cafeteria for the Ridgefield Public School System.
She is survived by her two daughters, Debra Roper and her husband, Kenneth of Bethel, and Julie LaValla of Brookfield; her five grandchildren, Ken, Kristen and Kelly Roper, Shannon and Carly Mardin. She is also survived by her two sisters, Myrna Trafford and Irene Cea-Lynch. Funeral Information
A Memorial Service will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Wednesday, March 17th at 7:00pm.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00pm. Donations Information
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Danbury Animal Welfare Society.
