Obituary of Margaret Ann Konkol

Carmel, New York – Margaret Ann Konkol, affectionally known as “Honey,” passed away peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Monday, February 5, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on August 6, 1936, in Yonkers, New York, Margaret was the daughter of the late John and Mary Duffy.

She brought immense joy and warmth into the life of Robert S. Konkol, as his cherished wife for sixty-three wonderful years.

Honey was not just a loving wife; she was also a devoted mother to her daughter, Linda Santoro of Marina Del Rey, California and her “sons-in-law” Edward Santoro and Michael Paquette. Sadly, she was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Cherie Paquette, whose memory she held close to her heart.

Honey was as sweet as her name and dedicated herself to her family with unwavering love and devotion. She was a beacon of light to all who knew her, filling our lives with laughter and love. Her passion for life was evident in everything she did, from her career as a Medical Secretary to her hobbies of cooking, fishing, gardening, and strawberry picking.

“Grandma Honey” was a caring grandmother to all her grandchildren: Christopher, Nicolette, Christie, Jeff, Katie, Ryan, Alex, Amy, Samantha and her tiny grand fur-baby, Carter, the Pomeranian she adored. Her love for her family and their extended family members knew no bounds, as she cherished every moment spent with them.

She is also survived by her sister, Marie Fourazzo, and her husband, Joseph, of Yorktown, New York. Additionally, she leaves behind her sister-in-law Catherine McMinn and husband, Tom, of Northridge, CA, and many nieces and nephews.

Honey will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her legacy of love and laughter will live on in our hearts forever.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to celebrate Honey’s life on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at
