Obituary of Edward L. Baldwin III

Edward L. Baldwin, III, 72, of Brookfield, beloved husband of Sharon (Morasco) Baldwin, died at Danbury Hospital on Friday, December 8th.  He was born in Danbury on March 21, 1951, son of the late Edward L. and Margaret (Richdale) Baldwin.  He was a graduate of Henry Abbott Technical School, class of 1970.

Ed owned and operated Quality Pump Service, Baldwin Pump Service and later AAA Water Systems in Brookfield, for many years.

Ed was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman.  He spent much of his free time enjoying nature, taking long rides in the country and hiking.  Ed was the kind of person who would always stop to help anyone in need and he could fix just about anything. His kindness and generosity were a bright light in this world.

In addition to his wife of 24 years, Sharon, he will be sadly missed by his children, Beth Baldwin-Lien and her husband, Eric, and Chad Baldwin and his wife, Kate; as well as his stepchildren, Joshua Wilson and his wife, Courtney and Toni Wilson-Faber and her husband Danny.  Ed’s grandchildren, Abigail & Caleb Baldwin, Spencer Lien, Cody Wilson, Bailey Dillon, Lillian Wilson and Josh & Nick Faber will all mourn the loss of their Grandfather.

Ed was predeceased by his parents, Edward L. Baldwin and Margaret Van Geons and both of his siblings, Patricia Senecoff and Lee Baldwin.

A celebration of life gathering will be held in the spring in honor of Ed.

Memorial Contributions in his memory may be made to the National Audubon Society.
