Obituary of Theresa Bucko

Theresa Bucko, of New Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Edward Bucko, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, November 16th with her loved ones by her side.  A lifelong resident of New Fairfield, she was born on November 7, 1929, daughter of the late Alfred and Francis (Post) Lobraico.  She was a graduate of Danbury High School. 

Theresa worked for Barden Corp, retiring as a buyer after 50 years of employment. 

In 1955, Theresa married Edward, the love of her life.  They were happily married for more than 50 years.  They loved traveling and their favorite spot to visit was Cape Cod. 

An avid Yankees Fan, she watched every game and cheered for them at Yankee Stadium whenever possible. 

Theresa will be remembered for her huge personality, ability to make others laugh, and her infectious laugh.  She loved her family wholeheartedly and always made time for them. 

She will be sadly missed by her 14 nieces and nephews; 13 great nieces and great nephews; and 7 great great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by her six siblings, Marie Jancewicz, Catherine Vetrano (Neal), Francis Hinkley, Martin Lobraico (Rose), Nicholas Lobraico and Alfred Labraico, Jr.

Burial in Mountain View Cemetery, New Fairfield, will be private. 

The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street in Danbury on Sunday between the hours of 2:00 – 4:00pm. 

Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
