Obituary of Eva Cook

Eva Cook June 29, 1922 - July 10, 2010 On this day, July 10, 2010, an angel was taken to Heaven, Eva (Gluchanicz) Cook, of River Glenn Nursing Home and formerly of Terry Drive, Danbury. She was greeted at the gates of heaven by her late husband, Lt. Clifford Cook. Eva was born on June 29, 1922, in Nanticoke, PA. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Clifford Cook, as well as her sisters, Anna Kobel, Mary Asselta, Helen Armeno and her brother, Steven Gluchanicz. Eva is survived by her loving children, Roseann Upham and her husband, James of Grey, LA, and her son, James Cook and his wife, Ann of Austin, TX. Eva was an amazing Nana to her grandchildren whom she is survived by: Michelle Patruno and her husband, Antonio of Watertown, James Visconti and his wife, Laura of Bethel, Gareth Cook of Austin, TX and David Cook of Austin, TX. Her greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved to spend time with and share stories with and create wonderful lasting memories of love and happiness. Eva is survived by her great grandchildren, Britnee Patruno of Watertown, and Justin Visconti of Bethel. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews; as well as her friends at River Glenn Nursing Home. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Tuesday, July 13th at 1:30pm. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday morning between the hours of 11:30 and 1:30pm. Donations Information Memorial Contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
