Obituary of James Cory Ross
James Cory Ross
August 18, 1961 - August 20, 2010
James Cory Ross, age 49, father of Ian R. Ross, passed away suddenly on August 20th. He was born in San Diego, California on August 18th 1961, son of Jean (Ross) Rondeau and the late Robert W. Ross.
James' passions included minerals and gems. He was a well respected member of the Bristol Gem and Mineral Club and traveled to rock and mineral shows across the country. James enjoyed scuba diving, skiing, hiking and was an all around outdoorsman.
In addition to his son Ian R. Ross of Terryville, James is survived by his mother, Jean (Ross) Rondeau and step father William of Bridgewater; brother, Scott D. Ross Sr. and wife Laura of New Preston, nephews; Scott Jr. and Connor Ross, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. James is predeceased by his father, Robert W. Ross. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 28th at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Brookfield at 11:00am.
Jim's family will receive friends on Friday, August 27th at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St. Danbury, between the hours of 6:00pm and 8:00pm.
Eileen and Ian Ross will offer a Memorial Service to be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 134 Main St, Terryville, on Tuesday, August 31st at 7:00pm. Friends are invited to attend. Donations Information
